So not only was there Tball and Mother's Day...there were many highlights of the day to day living of having 2 little ones...one major was (drum roll)...the last day of kindergarten!! She (We) made it! In May Joel wrapped up Gymnastics for the summer and will start back this fall...We had our church picnic, Praise 150 (special music service at our church - Jeff plays trumpet in the orchestra), started lots of time outside and took in the Bulldogs Baseball game in the SEC tournament with Big Daddy. Now that school is out, Claire and Joel get to go to Pioneer Playschool together on the days I work...Woohoo! Joel's world is always settled when he knows Claire is near! Here's some fun pics from May...
What a fun season of Tball! Big Daddy was here to cheer on the Rockies in the last game. Sweet kids...sweet families. They really learned a lot and got better each week! Fun time celebrating after with inflatables, hot dogs and popsicles! Each kid got a trophy with their name on it! Great job Coach Daddy and Coach Carl! See you next year! Thought I'd post a pic of my softball days...any resemblance? :))
We spent Mother's Day in Baton Rouge. We tried to leave after Claire's field day at school but half way through her events, Joel got clingy and tired and we ended up with him in MD office getting antibiotics for strep! So we left after that and got there late but excited. (Claire lead Joel in some stretches during a stop on the long ride home!) We celebrated Grandmommy's 70th birthday along with Mother's day. I received a collapsible wagon along with sweet cards and love and an afternoon of shopping for Mother's day! What a treat! The kids ate more crawfish than Jeff and Granddad combined! They planted tomatoes with granddad and worked puzzles. Fun times to enjoy family! The best part about being a mom is the joy of seeing your kids grow and learn! WOW! What an honor!
The end of another great year in gymnastics for Claire! Over the past year she has moved from the Flip Flops to Vision A to Vision B class. Moving right along in her skills and having fun at the same time! Here's some pics from the mock-meet they do at her gym. It's a dedicated group of coaches, kids and families and we have been nothing but pleased with the skill of the staff and the fun and encouraging atmosphere they keep! You'll see Claire and Caroline. They have been in gymnastics since they were 2. Though in Vision B at different times, they are still buddies! Each kid got to stand on the podium and get medal and tshirt! COOL! Here's some pics and videos of her in action!
