Enjoyed a great summer of blending our lives, bank accounts, visiting young married Sunday School classes, and Jeff joined Hunter Street Baptist in September. We joined Brian and Heather Hinton's Sunday School class shortly after. What a welcoming group of people!
We rented at the Yorkshire House in Homewood, AL owned by Gerald and Caroline McCall (super people!) until September when Jeff got a contract on his house and it closed at the end of Sept. What an act of God in a market such as this!
Jeff officially began his faculty position at U. of Alabama in Computer Science, College of Engineering. He taught one class and continues with research. Research is never done. Glad he enjoys it! Good at it too!
We began house hunting and found a great house in Hoover and moved in Oct. 21, 2008. We are thankful for our Realtors Dawn and Ken Boyd with Remax Starz, Dave Ramsey's only ELP's in the Birmingham area. We learned a lot and they were awesome!
We travelled a lot to football games in Tuscaloosa, Starkville, and Baton Rouge. We are connected to too many teams. BUT, you won't get the Purple and Gold out of Jeff or the Maroon and White out of me. We are trying to figure out this Crimson Tide thing.
Other highlights were getting to keep Brodie, our nephew over night a couple of times. Once at his 1 year birthday and once over Labor Day. He's the son of my Brother Robert, and his wife Andrea and they live in Memphis, TN. Brodie took his first set of continuous steps in our house over Thanksgiving! Way to go, Brodie!!
We had a wonderful first Christmas together as "The Jeff Carver's". We logged in 900 miles starting on Christmas Eve and landing back at home on 12/28/08. We went to Cathy's Dad on Christmas Eve, Lacey Family Christmas on Christmas Day, Cathy's Mom Christmas Afternoon, Jeff's family the day after Christmas and the weekend. We woke up to on our first Christmas morning at the Holiday Inn Express in Starkville, MS but wouldn't have it any other way as long as we woke up next to each other celebrating the birth of our Savior!

New Years got stumped because I came down with a sinus infection and clogged head and had to get on antibiotics and admit I was sick for a day or two. Quick recovery but after LSU Beat GT, we headed to bed saying Happy New Year and can't wait to see what 2009 brings us.
