Arrival at Home
We made it home Sunday afternoon around 2pm. (a few more pix were added to above slideshow.) Claire made the ride home like a sweetheart! Slept the whole way and did great in the car seat! We gave her a tour of her new home and started settling in. We all had adjustments to make and she made them well all things considering. She's a normal baby: eating, sleeping, pooping etc, crying, making cute faces...and the normal sleepy baby. It was a long road getting pulled out of my belly! Daddy and I are figuring out things and it's been good. We've had so many offers for help and that's encouraging! We feel very loved and supported. We go for her first pediatrician visit on Tuesday and praying she will have a good weight since breastfeeding. She's doing well with that - just hope she's getting enough. Stay tuned for more pictures as we make it through a big week of "firsts". We had prayed a lot about the timing of her arrival knowing we would have nothing to do with it. SO grateful she came early since Jeff starts teaching classes at UA on Aug. 18. We are glad to have the time together to adjust as a family. Thanks to everyone at Spain Rehab for taking things over for the next 12 weeks. Looking forward to life at home for a while.
