New Friends - The Breland's

Jeff and I met Bryan and Jennifer in our New Life Class ("prepare you for a new baby as much as we can" class) at UAB before Claire was born. They were due with their baby boy 6 days after us. Long story short, Jennifer delivered Jack about 12 hours before Claire was born. We connected again in the hospital. We also saw each other again at our 6 week follow up with our OB - yes, we had the same doctor. Only God could have arranged our appointments on the same day/same time so we'd connect again. We were meant to be friends. They live in our area too. Jennifer and I finally got together last Friday to walk the corridors of the Galleria Mall pushing our babies in strollers. It was a lot of fun getting to know each other better and sharing our experiences of having a 7 week old. We also shared all the scoop we'd learned from others on where to find deals on children's clothes, ideas on college funds, and neat websites. Jennifer and Bryan have been married a while, traveled lots and are working on advanced degrees as we speak. They plan to be in Hoover long term so it will be lots of fun watching our children grow up together since they share the same birthday! After the walk and lunch in the food court, we went to Painted By U where you can get a free tile of your child's footprints. Here's some pix of our fun that day. So cool to have new friends.
