August Highlights

Here's some random photos of some August fun we've had. We enjoyed several birthday parties with classmates from Claire's day care at Cathedral. These are from a recent pool party to celebrate Abby. We celebrated our friend Jenny Wilson's call to move to China in a few weeks to take a rehab PT job in Bejing but that's just to get her in the country so she can share Christ. Her faith challenges me! We got to meet Sydney Royal and Joel had a brief introduction so that when the arranged marriage topic comes up in 25-30 years they have at least met and enjoyed some wiggle time together. You see some snippits of daily life of bath time and sweet baby sleeping! Joel is now 5 months and eating lots of baby food and loves to get his toes in his mouth! Claire loves bike riding and helping wash her brother in the tub. We had major changes this month too! In a 4 day period Claire left her previous day care, started a new preschool, gave up her Paci (you see the photo of how she felt about it!), promoted to new Sunday school class and did a couple of swim lessons. Joel will start his new day care next week. Lots of change! We had a blast with our cousin Mary Morgan this summer! She came to help me with Joel so I could take Claire to gymnastics every Monday. Super help and super girl! Good luck in your Freshman year at BSC! The Paci thing is like looking up at the Mount Everest with Nike running shoes on! Just gotta do it! She gave it to her new teacher who gave it to the babies. She has not asked for it but she is detoxing on how to soothe herself. Naps are all over the place and she's waking up earlier in the mornings but all things considered, she's doing great! Oh, one other opportunity I had this month was to meet Congressman Spencer Bachus with a couple of my patients. Really cool experience!
