Joel - 7 months
So here we are at 7 months old already and we have made major strides in development. Joel is now sitting up in the booster seat to eat vs. reclined in his swing and he's working on building up the tolerance of his gums with chewing. He still thinks everything should be sucked down (oral motor development is tough!). He's doing great eating his nearly 5 tubs of baby food/day from the spoon. He also learned to get mobile with a version of crawling that I call the body drag/army crawling. All I know is if he's interested in something, he's off to find out about it. He still takes at least 2 if not 3 naps/day and sleeps at night basically 7:30-6:00ish...Love that! Claire is wanting to play with his baby toys to make sure they are ok for him...time to start sharing and playing together some...oh boy, here we go!
Since moving into our house 5 years ago this month, it has been in constant morphing...we have done major remodels etc..but since kids it's been every several weeks moving something around and this month no different. Making sure the plugs are blocked because from his tummy, Joel can reach them...and rearranging how Claire stores her toys...he can now crawl into some of her stuff...
I call it vertical arranging...tall enough for him to stay out of...short enough for Claire to access...Proud of them both!
