October highlights

Here's some October highlights...You'll see a snapshot of us at the Walk to Defeat ALS. That disease is a heartwrenching thing. I work with lots of these folks who will all eventually need wheelchairs. No cure and progression can be very rapid. I have actually never done a walk like that...very mixed emotions of hope for a cure and trying to do my part all the while I know many who have died from this and I look at the faces living with it now who are hopeful but facing certain death in the next few months/years...i need to stop here on this... Other highlights...I got crafty and painted on old piece of picket fence left in our garage when we first moved in and used it in Claire's room and also turned old window panes into picture frames. Other fun you'll see is when YaYa and Jim met us at Pump It Up for some jumping on the inflatables, Uncle Bob came to visit and go to a BAMA Game (his alma mater), and we made a day trip to Starkville to watch the first quarter of MSU/LSU game...We got to see a dear friend of mine, Strat. He was the head athletic Trainer when I was in school and was like a daddy to me while I was there. Still treats me like that :) You'll see some other snipits as you know, I love the everyday snaps...What great weather we are having now! Thanks for tuning in to our lives...
