First and First Real Halloween

It is Joel's first and Claire's first Real Halloween. What a cool thing to do through the experience of a kid. We took them to our church for "Trunk or Treat" and walked around with friends from her school, Jack and Joe. What fun to see her be amazed at all the costumes, colors, and CANDY! On Halloween night we walked around our neighborhood with a couple of families and tried to beat the rain and thank you Lord for holding it back for these kids! Our older neighbors loved seeing the kids dressed up and hearing "Trick or Treat" in that sweet child voice! So we got home with a bucket full of candy and Claire is slowly learning what candy she likes adn doesn't like...she's drawn to suckers and likes "Smarties"...Funny what they are drawn too...Me - CHOCOLATE! This Halloween also brought my first challenge as a "grown up" to carve a pumpkin...This was my second attempt because the first one I did too early and it ruined. Fun activity to do with Claire and hope no one's finger gets cut. Joel had a little party at his school to meet parents and enjoy babies in sweet outfits. Joel just took it all in and way before midnight, he turned into a pumpkin!
