Thanksgiving 2013
Lots of family and lots of travel and lots of fun and much to be thankful for! Our Thanksgiving took about a week! It started with a visit from Big Daddy the weekend before Thanksgiving enjoying football and fun times. Claire got a special trip to the mall on Monday with YaYa and Jim to ride the carousel and eat the the ever so fun, Chick Fil A! We left on Tues for Baton Rouge pit stopping in Brandon, MS to see my Aunt Bobby and Uncle John, and cousins Lacey and Ryder. So thankful to get to see them. We enjoyed a great visit in Baton Rouge with Muh and Grandad, Uncle Bobby and girlfriend, Rebecca and Uncle Bob. And some really great football with MSU taking back the Golden Egg and The LSU Tigers barely beating Ark and the historical crazy win by Auburn over Alabama. Lots of great food and fun of visits to Muh and Grandad's offices, visit to Mike the Tiger and the must-do ride on the train and carousel at the mall of Louisiana. Claire also got to "test drive" Uncle Bobby's new car. Before we leave Baton Rouge we always have to load up on items we can't get here such as the Oak Grove Jambalaya mix and Manda Smoked sausage! We had a nice lunch with the Mink family on our way back through Jackson to get home. What used to take 6ish hours without kids is about 8ish hours now. Thankfully we have great travelers and a minivan! Lord, we give thanks to you alone - the giver of all good things!
