It's the Little Things

It's always encouraging when you remember God cares about the little things in your life. People are asking, "When will the war be over?"..."What will happen with the economy?"..."Gas prices are up again, heh?"..."What will happen with Medicare?"..."Will I lose my job?"...Life is heavy. But you know God cares about all that stuff and my little concerns...Sure I'm praying about big things but isn't it good to know we have a God that pays attention to even things we think are trivial LIKE: Why don't they make blue jeans to fit me? Yes, I'm petite...but I think I'm normal...The clothing industry thinks I should have skinnier legs and a larger buttocks. Miracles do happen and faithful Eddie Bauer had 2 pair that fit! So after one year of off and on hunting I bought one new pair! Don't mind the 6 inches they are rolled up! Thanks, Ingrid for hemming for me! :))

Another example...These silver loop earrings...My friend Heather Hinton (What a blessing to know this girl! She sharpens me so much!) We went walking in the mall recently and decided to check out the earrings in Macy's. We thought it would be fun to each get a pair of the same kind. Of course this Macy's only had one pair. So we found the other pair at another store in town. The next night (Sat. night), Jeff and I picked them up before we went out for dinner. Sunday morning I was frantically looking for them to take them to Heather at Sun. School. Nowhere to be found! So, we sat in the car to head to church and he could tell I was disappointed in the potential loss. So he said, "Let me pray for them..." and he did. Do you think it's ridiculous to pray for somewhat trivial material things you have lost? I don't! We found them later that day! How about that? Was it the earrings that was important? NO! It was the reminder that God is paying attention and involved in the details of our lives! Don't look now, He's got the details of yours too!
