Purple shirt is 23.5 weeks and black shirt is 26 weeks. She's growing now! (Thanks again, Andrea, for the maternity clothes!!!)
I am approaching 28 weeks and feeling good. Right on track as far as the OB says. Passed the Gestational Diabetes test. Weight gain is about 14-15 pounds and Little Girl is kicking around a lot. I enjoyed my "first" Mother's Day. I had a few people ask if I was considering this my first Mother's Day. I like what a coworker said to me, "If she did't have you breathing and eating for you, she wouldn't be here." True! So my parenting skills are not in high demand right now, but she needs me! :) Don't we all like to feel needed. I got a very sweet and encouraging First Mother's Day Card from my wonderful husband. My mother gave me pink nail polish with the color "It's a Girl!" (How does she find cool stuff like that?!) My dad sent a very thoughtful card too! It's been fun pondering motherhood/parenting etc as the time is approaching. Anticipating labor and all that goes with it...contractions, calling family, medicines, pain, how long will it take?....When we get home, wonder if we'll want time to ourselves to navigate or will we scream for help!! What will God teach us as we start this new chapter? He's already shown me that I am as dependent on Him as this little girl is on my air and food passing through the umbilical cord! It's life! So we go back to the OB a week from Thurs and start our 5 week class that night. We have much to be thankful for! 3 months from today she is due! (PS: regarding names, we are down to a couple that we like, but it's harder than we thought. We will likely wait until we see her and see what fits her. So for now, you'll have to wait :))
Oh Cathy...you look so great. I can't wait to see you as a mommy. I can't even describe it...it's just so wonderful. And to see your husband as a daddy...especially to a little princess. Can't wait to see what God has in store. Love you! And miss you!
